So cool to have many of you along for our cover crop workshop, screen printing and pizza. We’re looking forward to seeing these upcycled shirts and tees appearing around the neighbourhood!
P.S. scroll down for a new ‘flashbacks’ section with early photos of the garden as we get close to our 10 year anniversary.
Event this Sunday, 11am-2pm: Workshop, Screenprinting and Pizza!
Arohamai – this upcoming event was missed out of the recent email newsletter so a few people have missed the memo. It’s still going ahead! Details as follows:
11am: Workshop run by Luke (details below)
11.30am: Screen printing begins
12pm – 2pm: Pizzas and hanging out
If you’re joining us for pizzas it would be great if you could bring a topping or two to share – we’ll provide the bases (gluten free) and sauces.
If you’d like to join for some screen printing BYO old shirts, teatowels, hoodies, pillowcases or assorted fabrics to upcycle and adorn with our very own garden imagery and designs!
As promised we have more information about our Matariki dawn ceremony next month – read on for the full run down of the event, plus images and a poster to share with friends and whānau.
Looking forward to a week of more settled weather – perfect for gentle mahi in our māra getting things tucked up and tidy prior to Winter. If you’re wanting to join for the upcoming microscopy course please let us know ASAP so we can get a gauge on numbers. Thanks!
While it’s still not for nearly two months, we have a date for our Matariki event! Saturday June 28th, starting around 5.30am – the first Saturday of the upcoming school holidays. This year we’ll roasting our very own homegrown kūmara in a hāngi!! How cool. More info to come closer to the time, but worth letting your friends, whānau and neighbours know in advance. At the end of this email there’s a flyer you can download for upcoming events, and we’ll have printed copies in the māra for you to take home 💚
