Introductory Class for beginners and those wanting to improve their scything techniqu • Select the right scythe for the job and set it up to fit you. • Mowing tai chi style, using a range of blades, ergonomic ‘snaths’ (handles). • Techniques for harvesting, grass cutting, lawn mowing and difficult situations • Demonstration of scythe maintenance: including peening, whetting and blade repairs. Tutor: Christoff Schneider, trained with Austrian Scythe Association Scythe equipment available for use and purchase on the day

Nelson: 17th Nov, 9.30 – 12.30 am (1 session only) - location details on registration Golden Bay: 18th Nov (2 separate sessions) 9 am - noon (at Tui Community, Wainui Bay), 2 - 5 pm (at King's property, Paton's Rock) Motueka: 19 Nov (2 sessions), Atamai Ecovillage

COST: $60 (limited to six people per session for personalised instruction)
