Brooklyn has the following sub groups: Food & Gardening, Transport and Steering group
Welcome to the Food & Gardening Subgroup of Transition Town Brooklyn
updated 28 Oct 2010The Food & Gardening subgroup has established two ‘share-gardens’: this is where two Brooklyn residents who are no longer able to do much gardening have volunteered their gardens for other people to use.

Brooklyn community orchard working bee, 19 June
Submitted by sablyth on 11 June 2011 - 12:44pm | EventEvery second Sunday in winter, we are running working bees. At the working bees we'll be keeping the grass in check, weeding, feeding plants and general maintenance of the orchard.
Please bring along tools that you've got.
Come along! It's fun plus you'll do a bit of hard work. We would welcome you for any time you would be able to spare.
Upcoming working bees after this one are on Sundays: 3, 17 and 31 July.

Grow your own feijoas workshop, Brooklyn, 8 May
