Calling all people in the South –

Say NO to mining of our precious places!

All across New Zealand, from north to south, ordinary New Zealanders are demanding for our high value public conservation land to be fully protected from mining.

Don't let Government's recent 'backdown' fool you - the war is not won yet! Paparoa National Park, Stewart Island/Rakiura, the Takitimu Mountains and the Longwoods are just some of our precious places in the South still under threat!

They are OURS-NOT MINES!

Gather at the corner of Nith and Forth Streets (opposite Escape Glass), march through the centre of town along Kelvin, Don and Dee Streets before gathering in Wachner Place for brief speeches, music and street theatre.

No chanting required, your presence will say it all.

Bring friends, placards, dress up, perform, anything you like – just be there.

March starts at 2pm.
