Sub Committee Reports

5.1 Gardening Group  

Ellen is investigating tank for community garden irrigation system.  Need height for pressure but needs to be below roof line.  Other option is a pump.  Ellen to contact Te Radar re pump as seen on TV.

Community garden group are having midwinter progressive dinner

5.2 Treasure Hunt    

Waitakere, prompted by Geoff, is taking up treasure hunt concept and will run it at a number of venues.  Waitakere is to meet with the Pt Chev TH group to get advice on how to go about it.

5.3 Communications

Deryn is Garden Group Communication person.

Bruce has been enlisted as back up communication person to Yolanda and has been trained.  Will take up role on next rotation and then will look for another back up person.

Deryn spoke on Robert McCursky work on setting up sustainable eco systems within villages.  Not sure if applicable in our environment but will write up an article

Geoff spoke on the heart politics open conference to be held at Taupo.  Conference has strong eco theme.  James Samuels will be present this year so conference will have strong TT focus
