Invecargill Green Drinks

Topic for this month: find out more about Transition Town Invercargill, what it has been doing and how you can get involved.

Green Drinks have been happening in more than 65 countries around the World, and in 15 towns in New Zealand. Every month people who work in the environmental field or are passionate about the environment and sustainability, meet up at informal social sessions known as Green Drinks. There is no organisation, no membership, and no lobbying for causes. It's usually just people getting together for a chat although occassionally there may be a speaker for 10 or 15 minutes introducing some interesting, positive topic.

In Invercargill, we are meeting every last Thursday of the month, upstairs at Zookeepers at 5.30 till 7pm, or late.

Come on your own, or with a friend, and just say, "Are you green?" and we will look after you and introduce you to whoever is there and make you welcome.
