- Nutrient Dense Food Production
- Light Earth Building Techniques
- Appropriate Technology
Our Internships provide an amazing opportunity to learn alongside Bob Corker and other staff members, while supporting the important work of the Koanga Institute. The Institute is located within a developing village community, so there will be many opportunities to meet and work with interesting dedicated people who are passionate about creating a new model for sustainable, self reliant living in New Zealand.
The work you will be involved in will include researching and applying a range of light earth building techniques that are most appropriate to our area, and designing and building a range of appropriate technologies, including: solar water heating, rocket and other stoves, cool safes, composting toilets, grey-water systems, water filters etc
The results of the research will be applied in our future building cooperative as we develop our village.
