Invercargill Green Drinks - note change of date/venue

For a change, January Green Drinks will follow the Glengarry Market on Saturday, 28 January 2012. This will be followed by a Transition Town Invercargill meeting at 2.30pm.

Green Drinks have been happening in more than 65 countries around the World, and in 15 towns in New Zealand. Every month people who work in the environmental field or are passionate about sustainability and the environment, meet up at informal social sessions known as Green Drinks. There is no organisation, no membership, and no lobbying for causes. It's usually just people getting together for a chat although occasionally there may be a speaker for 10 or 15 minutes introducing some interesting, positive topic.

In Invercargill, we meet every last Thursday of the month, upstairs at Zookeepers Cafe at 5.30 till 7pm, or late, but note the change of date and venue for January. February Green Drinks will be at  Zookeepers again.

Come on your own, or with a friend, and just ask, "Are you green?" and we will introduce you to whoever is there and make you welcome.
