Fruit Tree Planting in Point Chevalier - part I (Premier Reserve)

Last Saturday several volunteers from Transiton Pt Chevalier planted seven fruit trees in Premier Reserve. We planted some lemon and feijoa trees, then prepared the grounds for banana and avocado trees which will eventually be planted at the end of October. It was a mammoth effort as the grass needed to be removed manually and the trees are being nurtured with top grade compost and mulch. We hope this will be a community orchard that everyone can benefit from in the years to come.
