How to Build a Rocket Stove Oven

WORKSHOP: How to build a rocket stove.

Times: Start each morning at 9 am.

This workshop will be led by Tim Barker, who has built several leading-edge applications of "Rocket Stoves". We will be building an oven for the Awhi farm kitchen, and possibly some thermal space heaters for the round houses. Exactly what extra we do after the oven will depend on how many people show up!

Turangi is pumice country, so we will be making use of this great material.

The theory of how they work and some examples of what is possible will also be covered.

Please bring warm bedding ( we have huts, mattresses and pillows) a good torch and rain gear.

The Tokaanu pools are nearby and provide a great place to warm up and relax- so bring a towel or two.
