Successful event good attendance about 50 people, article in subburban papers coming out tomorrow.  Sub committee meeting this week to discuss next events, repair café and Swap 5.

Ceres co op

In the last 2 weeks there was a neighbourly thread gauging interest in a ceres purchase group.  It was suggested that they come to TTPC meeting where they could talk further.  Although there was quite a bit of interest online, Kiri was the only person who showed up to the meeting.  For Ceres there’s a minimum $800 per month if you don’t meet it your co op gets struck off.

Anna suggested Kai tika run by Kelmarna which is an organic coop/purchase group, membership of $60 they meet the 2nd sat of the month purchase from Ceres and Chantal.  Pay online at wholesale rates.

Movie night cancelled.  May be revisited with alternative movie in the future.

Compost toilet workshop-

New venue suggested Gribblehurst keeping 14th May 10- 1.

Homestead community garden

Anna leaving Point Chevalier at the end of May. Of the 2 other gardeners who have been working with Anna, 1 member may join Dignan Street garden. TTPC decided to keep half the Homestead garden going with a low maintenance crop and let the Tongan group that Sandra is in touch with use half.  Anna will arrange a meeting with the Tongan group one evening within a fortnight.  Suggestion to take some things from Homestead Garden to Dignan Street Garden, eg tools, picnic table, bicycle pump, apple trees.

Zane from Collectively Kids on Carrington Road said they get TTPC newsletter and send them out to parents.  He was wanting to know how to get more actively involved.  End of year party possibility as a venue.  Zane going to check out Homestead and Dignan Street Gardens.  He would have a group of bout 10 kids.
