Transition Warkworth presents Power of Community- How Cuba Survived Peak Oil

TT Warkworth monthly meeting, Friday September 12th, 7.30 pm Catholic Church Hall.

We intend showing “Power of the Community”, the story of Cuba’s enforced struggle to survive through their energy crisis when their main source (something like 90%) of oil from the USSR was permanently cut off overnight.

This has been shown a lot over the last year, however there are still many who have not seen it, and it does have many pointers to what could and can be done by communities in an energy descent situation – at least we have the opportunity to plan our responses.
