edible and highly nutritious. On average wild edibles have 3 to 7 times
more iron, 20 to 30 times more Vitamin C, and 20 to 50 times more
Vitamin A.

10am-12noon. Bring whatever - seeds/seedlings/produce/plants to swap with eachother, Or just come along to meet like minds :) Great way to experience what is going on in others backyards. :)

This course will cover the background of the Honeybee including origin of natural habitat, races, bees in New Zealand. Food for and products of the bee (pollen and nectar sources). Pollination. Make up of the Colony & castes and their life cycles. Hive Dynamics throughout the year. Comb drawing. Storage of food- honey and pollen. Brood rearing and spring build up
Gerrit Hyink is a skilled and practicing beekeeper we have had excellent feedback on his courses.
