Community Orchard meeting

What: WSTT Orchard sub group meeting
Where: The orchard site, adjacent to the Berhampore Golf Course, Adelaide Rd.
When: Thursday January 22, 6.30pm
Bring: A picnic blanket and finger food for a shared picnic
Agenda: Discuss council proposal for funding and project expansion 

           Develop a plan of action for 2009
            Share tasks and commit to roles within group so we can all contribute to make project a success
            Get to know each other better!
 
The site is on the left if heading towards Island Bay, immediately past the Granville council flats and opposite the golf club house.

We have received word that a likely sponsor has been found for our project and that their level of support would allow enough funding for two sites. We need to nominate a second site.

The council would handle the money and is working on a memorandum of understanding. They propose soil testing by end of March and planting (or at least acquiring) most trees by the end of June.
 
This sounds like an amazing opportunity to accelerate progress and expand the scale of our project so we need to discuss and get organised. Bring your knowledge, questions and enthusiasm.
