This is a hands-on course, an essential introduction for anyone contemplating building their own earth home with the emphasis on eco- as well as earthen architecture. Students will be exploring a wide range of methods including adobe, rammed earth, cob, earth plastering and paving. Participants learn through building permanent structures, putting into practice the theoretical and technical knowledge gained. Participants will also visit a diverse range of earth buildings in the area which show diversity and practicality of this eco-friendly building style.

Cost: $475 for an intensive 7 1/2 day workshop
