Composting glossy paper

I keep hearing and reading conflicting advice about composting glossy paper/cardboard.

Most of the up-to-date information says that non-toxic kaolin and soy-based inks are used, but is this just New Zealand-made products, or even only New Zealand-made containers for consumables?

I already compost everything I can, but I'd love get a definitive answer so I can make responsible recommendations to others.

All yes, nos and sometimes gratefully received! I'd also appreciate links and advice on who to contact for more information (without having to become a paid subscriber).
