Affordable self sufficient house and garden for sale

I am moving to Tauranga, and my home is now for sale.

We have around 60 fruit trees and about 20 raised gardens and all the hard work of planting has been done for you.  There is enough room for chickens, rabbits and bees.  I have a chicken coop, and woodshed with enough firewood to get through the winter.

It's right in town, so you’ll never need a car – it has solar hotwater, fire with a wetback and it is fully insulated.

It’s been wonderful being part of the Transition Town group in Opotiki, and it is sad to go, but the good news is that I will be moving to Tauranga and hope to join in and support the TT group there.

I can introduce the new owner of my 'mini lifestyle block' to local greens, TT members and organic growers in Opotiki.

Kazel do you still have your rabbits? I'm wanting to breed for meat but can't find any breeders with these rabbits. The rabbits I want are NZ White and Californian. Hope to hear from you soon.

Sorry it took so long to reply, this must have gone to an old email address. I have no rabbits available at the moment, after 8 years of breeding NZ whites I finally have given up after taking hits from the calici virus too many times. I have one doe and one buck remaining, and if they live until spring I can breed them again, but the buck is a mixed flemish/nz white. I moved away from pure breeds in an attempt to breed in some disease resistance. I do have a number of contacts of people with NZ whites still though, so can help if you are still looking.
