Tumeke Cycle Space community DIY bike workshop

Hi, this is to promote a new and exciting project in Auckland. Since the new year a community run, DIY bike workshop has been happening EVERY Sunday and we welcome one and all to come ultilise the space.

Tumeke Cycle Space : promoting cycling and DIY culture in Tamaki Makaurau

Tumeke Cycle Space is a non-profit, community-run bicycle workshop in Auckland.  It's a place where people can fix, build and learn about bikes in a safe and inclusive environment. We provide tools, knowledge and  training, with a focus on teaching people how to fix their own bikes. In this way we aim to empower people, encourage skill sharing, and promote cycling, an affordable, social form of transport that encourages a healthy lifestyle and environment.

We are located at 27 Edingburgh Street, Auckland. Thats off K Road near the motorway underpass.

We share this space with Tangleball, a community makerspace.

HOURS

We're open 11:00 - 15:00 every Sunday.  Also, on the last Sunday of every month 11:00-12:00 we run a tutorial on a specific repair/maintenance (how to fix a puncture, for example).  See our Tutorials page for more details.
