IEA: We passed peak oil in 2006: - Time to start asking some questions about what we're going to do about it

The International Energy Agency is telling us that the world's consumption of oil actually surpassed our ability to produce oil back in  2006  and that consequently, governments should be preparing for higher fossil fuel costs and providing infrastructure appropriate to the post oil age.
Our current government is choosing to ignore this and  the implications that it will have on New Zealand's future .
Listen to/watch these very  recent interviews  with the IEA Chief Economist Fatih Birol ( 25th May 2011)
on our having passed into the post peak oil age ( from RNZ, ABC, BBC et al )
