TT Brooklyn: Let's Talk Rubbish about Waste
LETS TALK RUBBISH ABOUT WASTE!
...How to REDUCE, RE-USE and RE-CYCLE!
Donna Sherlock, Waste Awareness Officer & Project coordinator for Organisational Sustainability, Wellington City Council will talk about how to get wasted and benefit your household!
Local residents will fill us in on:
* Reduse your household waste to no RUBBISH BAGS! How? Join us...
* Bokashi composting system is a good way to avoid rodents and issues of flies, only downside is digging the hole in your garden! On the upside to breaking through the clay, is that the composting is helping bring the nutrients and conditioner back to your garden and progressively hole digging will get easier. See how this system works.
* WORMING YOUR WAY IN TO No/low cost worm farming from re-cycled materials + the benefits to your household. How to's + hand-outs.
... and other local ideas.
