Mt Victoria June meeting - 'Deep Listening' film

We aim to show Deep Listening, a documentary from Living in the Future which asks “What skills do we need to build successful relationships and how can we create communities that are both healthy and sustainable?” All welcome.

We will show The Worm is Turning, which includes the story of how corporate agribusiness is taking over the world's food production and shows how this system is destroying people's health, economies and the ecology of the world. Mt Victoria March meeting - 'This Changes Everything' film

In our first meeting for 2016 we will view the documentary 'This Changes Everything', Naomi Klein's 90 minute film that is billed as an epic attempt to re-imagine the vast challenge of climate change. Mt Victoria December meeting - 'Chernobyl' film

In our final meeting for the year we will view a documentary film on the ability of nature to recover following an environmental disaster. You may have seen it on discovery channel. It's about Chernobyl and lasts 50 minutes. All welcome.

Mt Victoria November meeting - 'Cowspiracy' film

We will view the 2014 documentary film "Cowspiracy", which is about the impact of the agribusiness on greenhouse gas emisisions and the environment. The controversial documentary, delivered in Michael Moore style, not only takes a hard look at global animal agriculture but also asks why environmental organisations say little about it. Identifying underutilised land
Transitioning it towards organics/permaculture/biodynamics
Growing copius amounts of fresh, local, healthy, rich, strong, organic, nourishing, powerful food
As hippocrates put it, let food be thy medicine

Mt Victoria October meeting - 'Switch' film

We will view the 2012 98 minute film "Switch", which is an educational documentary on the current energy crisis. The documentary surveys the world's range of current energy production from diverse sources—solar, nuclear, coal, geothermal, wind, biofuels, oil—and looks at how many people they can supply if the average person consumes 20,000 kilowatt hours in a year.
