Growing Together - Connecting People with Food Growing

Urban Pantry has launched Growing Together, a new online system to connect people who want to grow food with land and other resources for growing.

Growing Together is about making it possible for anyone to grow their own food. Through an easy-to-use online map you can find or offer space for growing food, share resources and skills with your community, or ask for help in transforming your backyard into an edible paradise.

  • If you don’t have access to outdoor space for growing where you live, you can find land to use.
  • If you have land that you’d like to see put to better use, you can find people who want to help you grow food on it.
Who is Growing Together for?
  • People who live in apartments with little or no outdoor space who want to access land to grow food
  • People who would like to grow food in their yard, but don't have the time, don't know how, or can no longer keep up with their garden for any reason
  • People who want to learn about growing food by doing it with someone experienced
  • People who want to share their food growing skills with their community
  • Community gardens that want to attract new members
  • School gardens looking for mentors
