The project to plant Fruit Trees in public spaces organised by Judith Holtebrinck and the Mt Eden Village People has been growing over the last year and half and its confirmed that 131 fruit trees will be planted on Auckland City council land mid 2010. » Read more

We gathered at the Wellpark College of Natural Therapies in Grey Lynn to watch a compilation of films, edited down to get a cross-section of the issues of climate change and peak oil and to introduce the basics of Transition Towns.

We saw segments of A Crude Awakening - The Oil Crash, The Power of Community as well as a seminar talk by Rob Hopikins.
