The population growth statistics, and our impact on the life support systems we depend on, are hard arguments to refute. However, either way it is hard not to watch this and realise that the logic of comparing humanity to yeast in a petri dish, is not unreasonable.

One of the smartest pieces of graphical presentation I've ever seen.

But once you get the hang of it you can correlate diverse trends such as life expectancy vs average income etc.
