Dear TTM members,

Comment on the TDC 10 year Community Plan
An Energy Descent Action Plan includes many variables. We are gathering information now about the local resources as a starting point. Another source of information about where the region is headed is in the TDC Long Term Council Community Plan. The plan has timescales and elements we need to take into account in our plans for our community. It was created in 2006, and is reviewed every three years. That means that right now, they are accepting input and feedback. » Read more

Energy Descent Action Plan
updated 28 Sep 2008An Energy Descent Action Plan is the key to making a smooth transition to a world with less oil. All of the community participates, usually through the Transition Towns Working Groups, and often through special outreach to groups such as schools. Given that oil will become expensive and scarce, we imagine what we want Motueka to be like in the year 2020, then we determine what we need to do to make that vision a reality. We break down the tasks for each working group topic and set out the steps and goals for each year til we reach the goal.
