Milmore Downs Flour & Grain
updated 14 Nov 2010Milmore Downs can send us things at a much better freight price if we order 150 kg or more. I think this is something we could manage every three to four months. They grow the grains using biodynamic agriculture in Bag sizes: 5 kg, 10 kg (9 kg for dinkel flour), 20 kg, 25 kg

Today's activity at the Community Garden
Submitted by Heidi on 29 May 2010 - 6:29pm | updated 29 May 2010 | Local newsAt one at the community garden today, Ellen, Deryn and Ally planted garlic (yay!) down by the older compost pile, and trimmed the greens off some of the kumara, and harvested some kumara (not very productive for the amount of greens, apparently.) These trimmings were put on the younger compost pile. E,D and A may have done more jobs too. » Read more
Old Homestead Community Garden Compost Update

Nine adults plus children and a mulcher meant we now have a new compost pile, and the best of the compost from the "old" heap has been turned, covered, and is just maturing to perfection over the next few weeks. » Read more
